Since our launch in 2003 emergingchurch.info has grown to include over 100 unique stories and reflections with more added every month - so where do you start if you're here for the first time? This then is a constantly evolving collection of recommended stories and reflections for if you're wanting to get a quick picture of what the emerging church is all about. Lowell Sheppard is an author and minister who has found himself living in Nagoya, Japan – via Mexico, the Balkans and the UK. Along the way he has been the UK Director of Youth For Christ, founded the Whose Earth Initiative and is currently Asia Director of HOPE International Development Agency. He’s also found time to write eight books and a host of magazine articles. His book ‘Chasing the Cherry Blossom’ explored the Japanese ‘non-church movement’ – an approach to church which some Christians may find has resonances with the emerging church in the west. RICHARD: Can you give a bit of background as to how Revolution started and why? DAVE: It pretty much stemmed out of relationships really I think because we have a project called Street Base, which is doing work with people in schools, like revision. Street Space is where we are telling them about Jesus, where they are, and from existing relationships. We’ve got a Rock Solid group going there and we saw the fruit from that.
